The community Economic Empowerment Division’s approach since 1982 has been to give guidance and development to small entrepreneurs with a focus on rural areas.

The programs offered includes support and education in the areas of business development, managing funds, business consultation and business prototypes.

Business consultancy provided for group and individuals who face difficulties with their business. Self-help groups for managing fund are aimed at addressing situations within the expanding business and creating job opportunities.

Business prototypes which have been established as part of the MBM foundation include: furniture production, printing and farming and livestock. The prototypes not only contribute to community education through MBM training programs but any profit generated is able support the sustainability of other MBM programs.

A range of training programs are provided by MBM in order to nurture long-terms economic sustainability for individuals and communities. Training programs are conducted in areas of business consultation small business management, farming and livestock, appropriate technology and vocational training.
